M. Shadows: "We're Not The Next Anybody. we're Avenged Sevenfold."
Last week’s issue of Kerrang! revisited Avenged Sevenfold’s “City of Evil” which turns 10 years old on June 7th. Check out a peice from the article:
When it hit, City of Evil went off like a bomb. The album earned a 5K review in Kerrang!, but the speed of evolution it represented was way too much for some. They became the biggest band in the world by doing exactly what they wanted,” M. Shadows told K!. Asked if they wanted to be the new GN’R the singer replied, “We’re not the next anybody. We’re Avenged Sevenfold. But we know where we wanna be. And we have confidence in the way we’re gonna get there.”
